ChP Consult secures European Space Agency (ESA) R&D contract

In February 2016, the European Space Agency and ChP Consult have signed a contract in the frame of the Artes 5.1 program (*). This contract has been secured despite the open competition of 19 eligible ESA member countries and with the formal support of the Belgian Delegation to the European Space Agency (Belspo)

ChP Consult will provide ESA with an innovative technology for the assembly of space-craft system lines. The contract includes the preparation of a relevant product specification on the basis of aerospace industry inputs, design, assembly and prototype testing in representative environment.

In December 2016, a successful PDR has been held in the presence of the European Space Agency, clearing the way for more detailed design, optimisation based upon non-linear finite element analysis and sampling tests.
